LETS GET PRODUCTIVE!

Ok so apart from rediscovering my new found love of tumblr. I have decided to become really organised within my life and actually make an effort to actually become more productive, not only in my work life but also in the physical aspects of my life.  

Over the years, I have always been the person that wants to try a bit of everything, dip my toes into every opportunity that comes my way, which has allowed me to do some great things in my short life, but which has also meant that I’m constantly getting distracted and never actually continuing on with something that I start. 

But as my 22nd birthday looms closer, I think it is finally time for me to start to take control and try and put some order into my life. Although I know I will always be the person who like to try out all different things, I need to make a conscious decision to start prioritising my activities. 

Starting with getting healthy! Although I have always and still stand by the belief that if you are happy with the way you look and you are healthy you shouldn’t have to feel the need to change. However, I have come to a point in my life where although I am happy with who I am, and I do live a healthy life, I think that for myself it is finally time that I seriously take action into loosing some weight, tone up the thighs and have a good time doing some exercise. 

I’m not trying to turn myself into a size zero model with no curves, I’m just aiming to loose 5kgs a realistic goal. In which I think my body and health will really appreciate. 

As for my work life, I need to get serious about my films and writing. I recently completed a project for my university about a school in Kenya, which has inspired me to go with the university this year on the trip they are taking to making a full length documentary. Which is a massive task, but one I’m happy and super excited to take, So fingers crossed that I’ll be able to sort everything I need to out so it can actually happen. 

But before I go gallivanting across the world, I need to actually start structuring and organising my life and time around the things I want to be doing, meaning actually making sure that I write something once a day, edit some work every week and actually just make the effort needed to make it in the world. Because ultimately if I can’t make these steps now to try and push myself to be doing what I want to do I’ll never actually achieve them! 

So here is to me starting my new life! Lets hope I can stick to it!

Skull bookshleves formed with everyday items: As many artists know, ‘vanitas’ can be defined as a type of symbolic art, often including symbols like skulls, rotten fruit, hourglasses, and other items related to the brevity of life and the certainty of death. London-based artist James Hopkins’ series Vanitas is quite a clever, modern take on this still life genre.

Worlds worst blogger

I swear I must be the worlds worst blogger, 

I created this blog with the intentions of creating a space that helped me share the things I love in the world with people, But to be completely honest I haven’t really been up to anything that exciting, so I guess that’s the reason I haven’t really been blogging. 

But let the wait be over as tomorrow I can promise you one of my latest projects. 

I was asked by a friend of mine to help edit a short documentary about a charity trip that my university took to Kenya last year, and now reaching its completion it’s time to share it with the world! 

It was an absolute pleasure to work on, and it has a really great message to it. 

So keep your eyes and ears pealed for that nugget tomorrow. 

I’ve also been experimenting with some new food recipes, with my new found love of all things fish and seafood, so keep an eye out for some new recipes. 

But for now I think that is all, but I am excited to be getting back into the blogosphere. 

So be ready for some new shorts, new recipes and some new film reviews all coming your way very very soon!
